Mushrooms

In 1999, My father Les_Blank, was hired to film the Millenium Mushroom Conference in Breitenbush Oregon. He asked me to come along and assist him. I loaded all the magazines and ran film through the forest back and forth to the lodge that we stayed in. The conference featured many experts in the field of psychedelic drugs and those for whom the mushroom was a great passion and even a cure. We spent a lot of time walking through the forest while the experts pointed out magic mushrooms, edible, and even poisonous ones. It was fascinating listening to all of them speak so passionately about mushrooms, something I didn’t really know much about. Then on Halloween night, everyone went into costume, including the film crew and it was wild.
